2025-2026 Route Changes

Changes to AppalCART Routes beginning August 11, 2025

·        Orange Night Owl Route -The route is a new late-night route and covers a larger area than the regular Orange Route to give access to those passengers on the east side of Boone access to the Night Owl Service.

·         Pop 105 and Teal – At some point, the NC 105 Crosswalk pedestrian crossing signal will be moved from its current location in front of Studio West to the Mountaineer Ridge intersection at such time a traffic signal is installed at the intersection.  Our schedule anticipates the move in happening in the near future. The NC 105 Crosswalk stop has been renamed “Hodges Creek”.

·         Silver -  Add Kangaroo Express on Blowing Rock Rd

·         Teal - Add Kangaroo Express on Blowing Rock Rd

The addition of the Kangaroo Express stop will provide additional transit options for passengers using that stop.

·         Peacock Lot-  The Peacock drop off and turnaround have been moved to the area between the west side of Peacock Hall and the Estes House to prioritize passengers, pedestrian safety, and ADA access.  We are excited about the improved turnaround and the access it provides.
