Revised Service Reductions due to Driver Shortages

Since August 30 and until further notice, AppalCART will need to temporarily alter and close the following routes until our staffing levels increase to a level that will allow us to cover them.




Gray Route: The Silver will provide access to the NC 105 Lot. To ride to or from the NC 105 Lot, the Silver Route will pick-up and drop-off passengers from the NC 105 Lot using the Highland Crossing shelter (Located on NC 105 in front of Goodwill) during the day until 6 pm. As scheduled, the Green Route will serve the NC 105 Lot after 6 pm on weekdays and weekends. The NC 105 Lot Shuttle will also continue to serve the NC 105 Lot stops on Friday and Sunday afternoons. Green 3: The Green 3 bus will stop at 3:30 PM, but there will continue to be service available on the Green Route after 3:30 PM. We will continue to run Green 1, Green 2, Green 4, and Orange 1. Please note: during the weekday Green 1, Green 2, and Green 4 will service Cottages of Boone at: 3:56 PM, 4:16 PM, 4:56 PM, 5:16 PM, 5:36 PM, 6:16 PM, 6:56 PM, 7:36 PM, 8:16 PM, 8:56 PM, 9:36 PM. Green 3 will run at regularly scheduled times until closing at 3:30 PM. Orange 2: The Orange 1 bus will continue to run as scheduled. The Green Route buses are being diverted to Mountaineer Village during the day. Green Route buses will be scheduled to arrive at the first Mountaineer Village stop at :01, :21, and :41 minutes after the hour.

Pink 2: We will continue to run Pink 1 and Express at regularly scheduled times. Pink 2 will run at regularly scheduled times until closing at 3:30 PM.

Pop 105 (3): We will continue to run the Pop 105 buses 1 and 2.

Purple 3: The Purple 1 and Purple 2 buses will continue to run as scheduled. AppalCART is currently training new drivers and seeking additional drivers (We can train you to drive a bus.).
