AppalCART provides rural Dial-A-Ride routes in Watauga County

Note 1:	You must call to reserve a ride at least 30 minutes prior to route departure time from Boone.  If nobody calls, the route will not run.  Fares range from $.50 to $2.00 according to distance.  Arrival times vary with the number or riders, and different locations for picking them up.  Trip tickets may be purchased in the dispatch office to save 20% on fares
	Routes 1 - 4 have a 12:30 PM departure from Boone on the 2nd Wednesday of every month instead of 4:00 PM.  However if you need to have a 4:00 PM return trip and let the dispatcher know a week ahead we will schedule a 4:00 PM return trip for you.  You must still call the day of the trip to confirm you reservation.
Note 2:	Routes 6 - 10 are sponsored by the Watauga County Project on Aging.  If you are 60 years old you may register with the Porject on Aging and receive free transportation from your home in Watauga County to the Senior Center, or Doctor's appointments in Boone by using the approiate route above.  The return trip features grocery shopping too.
